SERVICES

Sports Podiatry

Sports injuries to the foot and ankle are exceedingly common in sports.

We understand that a sports specific approach is needed to assessing, treating and preventing injury.

Whether your sport involves high impact pivoting and turning (Soccer, football, netball, basketball, tennis) or your sport involves repetitive stress (distance running, triathlon). We will customise a treatment plan to suit your specific sport and training regime.

Fungal Nails

Fungal nails are a common concern for many patients as they are often a difficult nail condition to treat.  Fungal nails occur when an opportunistic fungi (microorgansim) infects the nails.  Some symptoms may include discolouration, thickening, brittleness and debris under the nails.

There is a range of treatments available with varying success and side effects these may include topical therapies or oral medications.  Laser therapy is a recent technology however this can be expensive.  At Ryan James Podiatry we offer Photodynamic Therapy.

Children's Podiatry

Does your child have growing pains?

Have you noticed your child walks differently or tires easily?

These are all issues that may indicate your child should visit a podiatrist.  At Ryan James Podiatry we have a special interest in Childrens Podiatry.  Childrens feet are different in many ways to adults as they have unique developmental milestones and patterns.  Early treatment and diagnosis of potential foot or biomechanical issues can prevent problems developing or progressing into adulthood.  This can potentially give your child a step forward into achieving a healthy and active lifestyle.
