Meet Our Team
Ryan James completed a Bachelor of Podiatry degree at the University of Newcastle (2009). He has also graduated with honours in health science (2011) with a research paper on custom made foot orthoses for the treatment of foot pain.
Ryan is a Level 2 Sports Trainer (2014), and is a member of Sports Medicine Australia and affiliate member of the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons. Ryan is currently studying a Masters in Public Health through the University of Newcastle.
Ryan has worked previously in private practice in Sydney and Hunter New England area before moving back to Port Macquarie where he grew up. He established Ryan James Podiatry in 2011 which has now expanded to five locations in the mid north coast region.
Ryan has worked with the University of Newcastle as a university tutor for podiatric pharmacology. Currently Ryan regularly takes Podiatry and Medical students from the University of Newcastle, University of Western Sydney and University of New South Wales and is a part of the GP training programme at the Port GP Super Clinic.
Ryan has a special interest in Sports Podiatry including lower limb biomechanics, custom orthoses and regenerative medicine.
Dannielle grew up on the Central Coast in the Terrigal area and went on to complete her Bachelor of Podiatry at the University of Newcastle.
As part of her studies, she completed placements at Newcastle’s John Hunter High Risk Foot Clinic and multiple other clinics across Australia including Blue Mountains and Melbourne clinics.
Dannielle has developed a keen interest in dermatology, wound care, nail surgery, diabetic foot care and pharmacology.
She enjoys treating patients from all walks of life but is especially thrilled to work with the elderly in more rural areas of Australia.
She had been working in retail stores among the NSW Central Coast for 8 years prior to Podiatry and draws a sense of achievement from creating customer satisfaction.
Dannielle has a calming demeanour and relates well to people of all ages. She prides herself on her honesty and enthusiasm; and looks forward to providing her patients with the highest level of professional care.
Cara has been working with us at Ryan James Podiatry since September 2017 and has been a podiatrist on the Mid North Coast now for 2 years.
Cara studied her Bachelor of Podiatry at the University of Newcastle and graduated in 2016.
Cara enjoys all aspects of Podiatry and has wonderful interpersonal skills that will put patients of any age at ease.
She has a strong interest in continuing professional development, so she can ensure she is providing a high level of care to her patients.
Cara is passionate about her career in Podiatry and enjoys all aspects of it, including general treatments, nail surgery, diabetic/neurovascular foot assessments, footwear, dry needling and sports podiatry.
She is currently studying to be an Endorsed Podiatrist; a qualification that allows a podiatrist to prescribe certain medicines relevant to podiatry.
Cara grew up in Old Bar and went to school in Taree. Born in the Manning Valley, Cara has always been a country girl at heart.
In her spare time, Cara enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, the beach, yoga and spending time with her beloved animals.
